Alice Reina
Designer | porcelain artist
/
I’m an architect holding a degree from Turin Polytechnic University. Porcelain entered my life in 2015, thanks to a short but life changing workshop. Shortly after I founded biancodichina: a contemporary porcelain studio working at the boundaries between design, craftsmanship and art.
/
My research investigates the theme of fragility, its multiple aspects and the way in which its perception modifies our daily gestures. My work is inspired by two continuous flows: on one hand, the intelligence of plants and their harmonious and resilient behaviour; on the other hand, literature, which gifts me with words and concepts that I then turn them into form and matter.
/
My creations include both functional porcelain in limited series and one-of-a kind pieces.
